Starmobile Diamond is a mammoth Phablet with a screen size of 5 inches among other fabulous features tacked underneath it. It is also a Dual SIM, Dual Stand-by phone. It is the first Philippines made phone with an octa-core processor and it is expected to hit the markets by the beginning of the year 2014. Design: Starmobile Diamond D1 has a body dimension of 147.5x74x10.3 mm and weighs in at about 204 grams. It comes with an Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. It has a Dual SIM Dual 3G Stand-by capability. It comes in a choice color of black and white.
Display: The Starmobile Diamond D1 is fitted with a colossal 5 Inched FWVGA Display. This huge screen has a resolution of 480×854 pixels. This works out to a pixel density of 195 ppi. The screen is made up of a Multi-touch Dragontrail scratch resistant glass.
Hardware: Under the hood, this Phablet packs a Quad Core 1.2 GHz MT6589M processor and a 1 GB of RAM. This makes the Phablet sufficiently fast to handle numerous multi-tasking work as well as heavy applications. It also has an internal storage of 4 GB which can be expanded further to 32 GB using a microSD card.

Other Features: It has the Over-The-Air (OTA) sync feature which enables users to update their current OS to the latest Android version available by simply using the Wi-Fi and there is no need for a PC to do this, the Diamond D1 can do this by itself.
Pros: It has a big display making watching videos, typing and playing games much easy. The battery backup (3000 mAh battery) is quite impressive considering it has a large display. It has high megapixel cameras both at the front and at the back.
Cons: Despite having an impressive large screen, the screen’s resolution and pixel density is quite low compared to the smart devices industry standards.
Verdict: The Starmobile Diamond D1 is an amazing Phablet and it is set to introduce more creativity in the Phablet market as it is set to spur up innovations and inventions for the sake of competition. However it is by all rights a decent Phablet to have.
