Samsung Galaxy Express 2Samsung Galaxy Express 2 can be classified as a middle level smartphone. It was announce by Samsung back in October 2013 and release on the same month. Samsung has made big strides to dominate the smartphone market, with more than 50 percent of smartphone entering the market being Samsung manufactured.

Samsung Galaxy Express 2 can be described as a new smartphone in the market, and it has not received much review over a long period of time. But what we can already review about it, we can fairly conclude it’s quite a reliable mid-range smartphone. Some of these features are outlined below:

Design: This smartphone comes with the Android 4.2.2 operating system from Google. It is manufactured in two colors that is white and blue. The phone measures 5.21×2.59×0.39 inches and weighs at 134 grams.

Display: Samsung Galaxy Express 2 has a4.5 inches TFT with a resolution of 540×960 pixels. It also has a pixel density of 245 ppi. It comes with a color spectrum of 16 777 216. The screen is a Multi-touch, capacitive screen with other features such as light sensor and a proximity sensor.

Hardware: Under the hood it is packed with a Dual Core 1700 MHz processor with a 1536 MB RAM. It also has an 8 GB internal memory storage capacity. The memory storage can be expanded up to 64 GB using a microSDXC, microSD and microSDHC Cards.

Camera: It also come with a 5 MP rear camera with LED Flash, autofocus, white balance presets, CMOS image sensor, self-timer, night mode and panorama. It has a Camcorder with 1280×720 (720p HD) (30 fps). The front camera is a 0.3 MP VAG camera.

Connectivity and Technology: In terms of technology supports the following network bands GSM, UMT, FDD LTE (LTE, HSDPA+/4G, HSUPA). It also comes equipped with Glonass, A-GPS and GPS positioning system. In terms of connectivity, it has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11, microUSB (USB 2.0), 3.5mm headphones connector, Computer sync, OTA sync,

Battery: Samsung SM-G3815 as it is sometimes referred to comes with a 2100 mAh Li-Ion battery that is able to power the smartphone for up to 11 hours of 3G talk time, 20 days (480 hours) of 3G stand-by time and 21.2 days (510 hours) of 4G stand-by time. It also can support up to 54 hours of music playback and 8 hours of video playback.

Multimedia: The Samsung S-G3815 comes with a magnificent music player that will arrange your music library into playlists, artists and albums. It has extra features such as background playback and album art cover. It supports MP3 audio formats and the following versions of video playback: H.264, H.263 and MPEG4. It also has a YouTube player and good sound quality over the loudspeaker and earpiece.

Other Features: It comes with HTML5, HTML browsing. Has various apps such as Google+, Picasa, unlimited phonebook entries, Picture ID, Ring ID, Multiple numbers per contact, caller groups. In terms of organizers, it has an alarm, calculator and a calendar. In terms of messaging it has predictive text input, MMS and SMS threaded view.

Pros: Large screen, dual-core processor, big RAM space, 4G data support and NFC.

Cons: Not much negative things can be said about this smartphone. But then again there are some users who don’t prefer large phones, in such a case one of its shortcomings would be that its big in size.

Verdict: The Samsung Galaxy Express 2 or as it’s sometimes referred to as Samsung S-G3815 is definitely a good phone if you are looking for smart features but not one in the high-end of smartphones.
