Nokia Lumia 625The Nokia Lumia 625 was announced by the Finnish giant manufacture Nokia, to be launched on 23 July 2013 last year, and it was launched few months after that. Just like its counterparts model in the Lumia Series, the Nokia Lumia 625 does not perform in most of its perspectives.

The Nokia Lumia 625 features the following characteristics:

Design: The Nokia Lumia 625 is classified under the smartphone categories and it has all the features to back up that title. For starters it has the Windows 8 operating system from Microsoft. The phone’s dimensions are 5.24×2.84×0.36 inches and weighs about 159g. the body is made of polycarbonate plastic. It has the following side keys on the right side: camera shutter, volume control & lock/unlock key. It comes in the following range of colors: white, black, yellow, green and orange.

Display: With a screen size of 4.7 inches, a resolution of 480×800 pixels, pixel density of 201 ppi, colors spectrum of 16,777,216, multi-touch and capacitive touch screen which also features a scratch-resistant glass, proximity sensor and a light sensor. It is truly one of the biggest smartphone in the market.

Hardware: Under the hood, the Nokia 625 features a Dual-Core 1200 MHz, Krait Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, coupled by a 512MB RAM. In terms of memory it has 8GB ROM and can support up to 64GB external memory via microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC.

Camera: The camera properties features a 5MP rear-camera with LED Flash, F2.4 Aperture size, 28mm Focal length, 1/4″ Camera sensor, Touch to focus, Autofocus, ISO control, White balance presets, Panorama, Exposure compensation and Scenes. It also has a camcorder with a 1920×1080 resolution. On the front-side it has a 0.3MP VGA camera of 640×480 resolutions.

Connectivity and Technology: In terms of technology it has GSM, UMTS, GPRS, EDGE, LTE, HSUPA. Coupled with Wi-Fi positioning, Cell ID, GPS, A-GPS, Voice navigation, Turn-by-turn navigation, Points of interest (POI) navigations. While in terms of connectivity, it has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11, microUSB, 3.5mm headphone connector and it also supports Tethering, OTA & Computer sync and DLNA.

Battery: The Lumia 625 is packed by a 2000 mAh battery that can power the smartphone for 23.9 hours for talk time, 15.2 hours for 3G talk time, 6.8 hours for Video call time and 90 hours for music playback time.

Multimedia: Its music player can play audio files formats which include: MP3, eAAC+, AAC, AAC+, AMR and WMA. While the video playback support the following video formats, MPEG4, H.264, AVI, 3GP, WMV, MOV, 3G2 and H.263. It also has a YouTube player, FM Radio, RDS and Stereo.

Other Features: This phone has unlimited phonebook entries, MMS & SMS Threaded view, IMAP & POP3 & SMTOP & Microsoft Exchange emailing client. It also comes preinstalled with Yahoo, Skype, Window Live and Google Talk apps.

Pros: This phone has a fast internet connection speed (4G), a big screen display and a dual core processor for executing commands fast.

Cons: Despite the amazing features in the Nokia Lumia 625 smartphone, its screen pixel density if very low for a phone of this caliber at just 201 ppi.

Verdict: The Nokia Lumia 625 is one of the best phones to have, it delivers super performance in terms of connectivity, entertainment, photo and videos captures. As long as you ignore the low pixel density of its screen, then you will be very satisfied with it.
