Cherry Mobile Burst 2.0
Cherry Mobile recently unveiled another device in their Android phones line ups. The Cherry Mobile Burst 2.0 is one of the recently released smart devices from the Cherry Mobile. It has various impressive features, some of which are mentioned below:
Design: The Burst 2.0 smartphone is a Dual SIM, Dual Standby smartphone meant to host two SIM cards simultaneously. The shape of this smartphone is unlike any in the market. It has a pillow-shape: it has a bump on one side and it tappers off towards its sides. Making it to have a very comfortable and firm grip on the phone. The phone’s main chassis is made of polycarbonate plastic with a finishing of smooth matte. Then its second component is made of a glossy piano black plastic (from bottom to top). This duality look gives it a premium look as well making it a bit larger.
Display: It has a 4.5 Inched FWVGA Capacitive Display that is a Multi-touch screen. It has a resolution of 854×480 and a pixel density of 217 pixels per inch.
Hardware: Under the hood it has a Quad Core 1.2 GHz processor, PowerVR SGX544MP GPU and a 512 MB of RAM. It has an internal storage capacity of 4GB which can be expanded further by a microSD card up to 32 GB.
Camera: It is powered by a 5MP rear camera that has LED Flash and a VGA front camera. Test done on the camera quality, proved that the Burst 2.0 has a poor camera despite the impressive 5 megapixel property on its rear camera. Images taken by its camera mostly have a poor color reproduction even when the picture was taken under proper lighting conditions.
Connectivity and Technology: In terms of connectivity it has Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS, a-GPS and 3G Network. It has Dual SIM, Dual Stand-by capability.
Battery: The Cherry Mobile Burst 2.0 smartphone is powered by a 2000 mAh battery. The battery performance has proved to be strong enough to power the phone at least throughout the day without the need for recharging.
Multimedia: It features an FM Radio, Music player and video playback option. The music player arranges your music library in terms of playlist, albums and artists. It also support background playback.
Other Features: When it comes to messaging it has Emails, Push Mail, MMS and SMS threaded view. It has G-talk, Google Search, Google Maps apps among other third party apps.
Pros: The Cherry Mobile Burst 2.0 smartphone has a reliable battery which can take you throughout the day without need for recharge. It has decent processing speed.
Cons: The camera features are poor, the RAM space is too little to enable the phone carry out too much multitasking. Although the screen resolution is not that low, but there are better screen resolutions available in other competing phones.
Verdict: The Cherry Mobile Burst 2.0 smartphone can be classified as an entry level smartphone that will give you the basic features that you can expect from a smartphone. It is suitable for people who are just content with entry level smartphone performance.
