Archos 53 Titanium can be said to be currently at the highest end in the Titanium series of smartphones launched by Archos during last year’s IFA event. It also comes packed with superior features which makes it the highest-end smartphone in the series. Some of the features which the Archos 53 Titanium has are as listed below:
Design: Like all the phones in the Titanium series, it also is a Dual SIM, Dual Standby phone which features SIM 1 slot supporting 2G Network (GSM/ GPRS/ EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz). While the SIM 2 slot supports both 2G and 3G Network (WCDMA 900/2100). It comes loaded with Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS, weighs in at 200 grams and has a body dimension of 152.7 x 76.6 x 10.5 mm.
Display: It has a 5.3 Inched TFT Display which also features Capacitive and Multitouch 5x properties. The screen has a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) and it can display over 16 million colors.
Hardware: Under the cover it is run by a Dual Core 1.3 GHz MT 6572 processor with a 512 MB RAMS. It has an internal storage capacity of 4 GB which can be further expanded by a microSD card.
Camera: It also features dual cameras, with the rear camera being of 5 MP properties as well as having LED Flash and auto focus feature. It is capable of 720p video recording. The front camera is a VGA camera.

Other Features: In terms of messaging, Archos 53 Titanium has Email, Push Email, MMS and SMS threaded view. It also has A-GPS, GPS, SAR and DAS feature.
Pros: It has a large sized screen (5.3 Inches) which will enhance the users experience especially in video viewing, mobile games playing and typing since the keys will be relatively more widely spaced. The Dual SIM feature is quite ideal for individual who for one reason or the other have to be active on two SIM cards.
Cons: With a Dual Core processor that is coupled with a 512MB of RAM, this phone has not achieved effectiveness in terms of RAM size. That size is too small which will limit the phone from running numerous application concurrently.
Verdict: The Archos 53 Titanium smartphone is suitable for individual who appreciate big display the most in smartphone regardless if the smartphone scores poorly in other areas. It would pass for a big display mid-level smartphone.
